A Nigerian and Canadian citizen, Chiamaka Mọgọ has been working towards developing more inclusive societies, since she was 15 years old. Chiamaka possesses a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Public Administration with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, Canada. She also earned a Master’s in Public Policy and Global Affairs degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada. An impassioned humanitarian, she has worked with organizations to catalyse equity and sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa and Canada. Asides being the Executive Secretary at AFMESI, some of her past and current affiliations include: the Initiative for Inclusive Dialogue in Nigeria (Founder/President of the Board), the Canadian Race Relations Foundation (Board Director), the United Nations Migration Agency – International Organization for Migration in Ghana (former Migration Health intern), the Engage Africa Foundation (former Hitting Home Series Manager), the University of British Columbia (former Policy Analyst/Education Programs Assistant), the Canadian Red Cross (former Case Worker), amongst others. In the year 2016, Chiamaka was named by CIBWE, as one of the 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada. She is fluent in the English, Pidgin and Igbo languages.
