AFMESI at the GloLitter Africa Regional Task Force Meeting – Advancing Regional Action on Marine Litter

We are proud to announce that Dr. Mrs. Felicia Chinwe Mogo, Founder and President of the African Marine Environment Sustainability Initiative (AFMESI), has been invited as a key speaker at the GloLitter Partnerships Project Second Africa Regional Task Force Meeting, taking place from 30 June – 4 July 2025 in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Dr. Mogo will deliver a presentation on Day 4 (3 July) during the session on “Regional Cooperation, with a focus on linking country participants to other non-GloLitter project sea-based marine plastic litter (SBMPL) initiatives in Africa.”

In her address, Dr. Mogo will highlight AFMESI’s strategic initiatives across West and Central Africa—ranging from community-based port waste audits, ALDFG tracking, and SBMPL data harmonization, to its pioneering work in policy advocacy, ESG integration, and regional partnerships for a cleaner, sustainable marine environment.
